Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: September 10, 2026
1. Agreement
By accessing or using compasslawgrp.com (the "Site"), requesting a consultation, or opting in to receive SMS messages from Compass Law Group ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our messaging program.
These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. The Service
The Site provides informational content about Compass Law Group and our practice areas, including consumer protection, asset protection, contract law, and fraud law. Visitors may submit a consultation request through our contact form. The Site is provided free of charge for informational and marketing purposes. It does not constitute legal advice, and using the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to use this Site or our SMS service. By using Compass Law Group, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
4. No Accounts
No account or sign-up is required to browse the Site. If you submit a consultation request, you are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for complying with these Terms. You bear the risk of browser or local data loss for any information you enter before submitting a form.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Site to:
- Submit illegal content or content that exploits minors
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
- Harass, threaten, or promote violence or hate
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access beyond normal browser use
- Attempt to bypass security measures or disrupt the Site
- Submit information you do not have the legal right to share
We may investigate violations, block access, and take legal action as appropriate.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of information you submit through our forms. You grant Compass Law Group a limited, non-exclusive, request-scoped license to process that information solely to respond to your inquiry, provide requested communications, and maintain records as required by law or professional responsibility. You warrant that you have the right to submit the information and that doing so does not violate third-party rights.
Please do not send confidential information until an attorney-client relationship has been established in writing.
7. No Attorney-Client Relationship
This website is attorney advertising. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Content on the Site is for general information only and is not legal advice. Contacting us, submitting a form, or receiving an SMS message does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only after we complete a conflict check and both parties sign a written engagement agreement.
8. Third-Party Services
We use third-party providers to host the Site, measure usage, manage inquiries, and deliver SMS messages (including our website host, analytics providers, and GoHighLevel for CRM and messaging). Those providers process information as needed to operate their services. Their terms and privacy policies also apply to data they receive.
9. Availability
The Site is provided free of charge on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, feature availability, or response time. We may rate-limit, suspend, or discontinue features without prior notice and are not liable for unavailability or discontinuation.
10. Intellectual Property
Compass Law Group owns the Site name, logo, design, source code, and curated content. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our intellectual property without permission. Information you submit through forms remains yours, subject to the limited license in Section 6.
11. Termination
We may block access or stop sending SMS messages if you violate these Terms. Termination does not affect provisions that by nature survive, including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and related communications are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Compass Law Group does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that information on the Site is complete or current.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Compass Law Group is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or SMS program. Our total liability for claims arising from use of the Site is limited to USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the above limitations may not apply to you.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Compass Law Group against claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you submit, your use of the Site or SMS program, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights or applicable law.
15. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site or SMS program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
